Chess Club

Peoria Academy Chess Bulldogs meet every Tuesday after school. K-2nd grade meets from 3:30 to 4:30 and 3rd-8th grade meets from 3:30 to 5:00. Boards and sets are provided by the Greater Peoria Chess Foundation.  New students to our chess club begin by enrolling in a chess class designed to teach the basics; such as rules, and piece movements, opening development, and mating techniques.  All students will be encouraged to compete in interschool tournaments. This is an after school activity and as such a fee is collected.
