The International Baccalaureate Tradition

Peoria Academy has been accepted as a candidate for the prestigious International Baccalaureate Programme. The IB curriculum is widely regarded as the most rigorous preparation for secondary school, university and beyond. Students learn the traditional subject areas (English, Math, History, Science, and World Language) through student- driven, cross-disciplinary projects.

Teachers facilitate student thinking and inquiry. Students ask questions about the world around them, develop creativity, a sense of community, and a strong work ethic.

The IB programme values diversity and connects our students, parents, and teachers with a community of thousands of schools around the world.
