Welcome to Peoria Academy! Our school is a wonderful place for young children to grow and learn, and I am proud to be part of this nurturing school community.
Peoria Academy is a proud authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Pre-K- 5th grade and Middle Years Programme (MYP) 6th-8th grade. The IB programme seeks to develop global citizens who create a better world through education. At Peoria Academy we aim to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
Our eight to one student to teacher ratio allows for our teachers to meet the needs of every child. Our teachers know each child’s individual strengths and interests, and seek ways to inspire and challenge our students from preschool through eighth grade. We thrive for excellence in education through providing effective and engaging educational experiences and personalized learning within a safe and supportive environment.
At Peoria Academy, we value the partnership that we develop with families to increase student success. Teachers at Peoria Academy work in a close partnership with parents to deliver a quality education to every single student and support their learning process. We are here to meet the needs of each student academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Peoria Academy is committed to fostering a positive school culture where our students feel supported and valued and are encouraged to develop their unique strengths and interests. We believe it is important to create a programme that is balanced and rich in core academic and extracurricular activities. Our school provides learning experiences in all areas of knowledge from Athletics and Fine Arts to Science and Technology.
